Walt Disney World has four theme parks, twenty-four onsite resorts, two water parks, four mini-golf courses, an interactive/video game park, and a shopping and nighttime entertainment area. Given all that there's to do, becoming familiar with all your options will make for a smoother trip!
Magic Kingdom: The Magic Kingdom covers 107 acres and has seven "lands". It is based on the original Disney park, Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Epcot: Epcot is divided into two unique sections- Future World and World Showcase. Future World consists of various pavilions dedicated to the environment, imagination, energy, space, technology, and the automotive industry. World Showcase is made up of pavilions representing 11 different nations along with food, entertainment, architecture, and attractions representing those countries. MGM Studios: A movie inspired theme park with shows, attractions and two of the most popular thrill rides at WDW. Animal Kingdom: A zoo with a few rides added to the mix. The highlights are a jeep safari through live animal enclosures and the newly opened roller coaster, "Expedition Everest".
Typhoon Lagoon: a tropical beach theme complete with typhoon "damage" to many of the structures in the park. Home of gentle slides and a giant surf wave pool. Downtown Disney: home to a movie theater complex, Disney quest (interactive arcade), Pleasure Island (a nightclub district), shopping, and several destination restaurants such as House of Blues and Rainforest Cafe. |

Busch Gardens Tampa is is
a 335-acre African-themed family entertainment park with world class
live entertainment indoors and out, thrilling rides,
roller coasters, exotic animal habitats and shows. Busch Gardens is one
of the country's premier zoos featuring more than 2,700 animals. They have
several of the southeast's largest roller coasters including the new SheiKra,
the nation's first dive coaster. Set among the jungle ruins of a once-mighty
African civilization, SheiKra will carry riders up 200 feet at 45 degrees,
then hurtle them 70 mph back toward the ground at a 90-degree angle. It
will be the first coaster of its kind in the Americas and only the third
in the world. |

The John F. Kennedy Space Center is the NASA space vehicle launch facility
spaceport. It is 34 mi long and around 6 mi wide, covering 219 square miles.
Around 17,000 people work at the site. There is a visitor center and public
tours and KSC is a major tourist destination for visitors to Florida. Because
much of KSC is off limits to development, the site also serves as an important
wildlife sanctuary |
